Located in southern Asia, Thailand is surrounded by Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia. Thailand has a warm and humid tropical climate divided into two seasons: the dry seasons from December to April and the monsoon or rainy season, from May to November. There is a varied landscape with huge plains in the centre of the country around the Chao Phraya River, a dry plateau to the east, high mountains near the Burmese border and a peninsular region in the south with superb beaches and magnificent seaside resorts. What to do in Thailand?

For nature and culture lovers, the most recommended sites are the Phang Nga bay, the ruined temples of Ayutthaya, Prasat Hin Pjimai, Prang Sam Yot and the Chiangmai sanctuary.
